After 2 sell out boat parties in the summer, a successful return to T2 in September, THE Boat Party of the year with HeatUK on board the Silver Sturgeon, and Heat's 5th Birthday at Koko, [Friendz] is back for another serving of quality trance music!! 2006 has by far been Friendz' most successful year, and we're doing something a bit differnet this month. A new venue, and new time, but more of the same... Quality trance music!! The music policy is simple ... It has to be uplifting!!
We are moving to the EP Lounge for November's party, just around the corner from Turnmills on Clerkenwell Green.... The reason for this is to accomodate a new time slot for this month only of 5pm - 3am. The venue is superb for a Friendz event ... Good sound, great surrounds, and an initmate venue make it ideal for the Friendz crowd. And a longer opening time means more quality music!!
This month we welcome back none other than the mighty Steve Blake. Impact Recordings head man, producer with many an anthem to his name including the huge 'I Get A Rush', flawless DJ, and all round top bloke. With Steve being a Friendz regular, and gracing the decks many times for us, he knows exactly how to deliver to the Friendz faithful.
With the extended opening times this month, we are able to being you all the Friendz residents at their best. With 3 new track realeases over the last few weeks, Trevor McLachlan will be bringing you the most up to front tunes available, some fresh from the studio that week. Friendz main man Wynand Delport fresh from his unbelievable display to 1600 people in the main room at Koko, will no doubt deliver one of his trademark uplifting sets. Charlie Bradley and Courage will be on hand to serve up some more of the same after their cracking b2b on the Friendz Vs HeatUK boat party, and regular David Brinson is back as well, funking up a storm recently at places like Pacha and Turnmills and the Fridge. Neil MD is starting to make a name for himself after playing some cracking sets at Friendz in recent times, and we still have even more DJ's to be confirmed, so watch this space.
